Scientific software engineer position
SISSA, the International School for Advanced Studies in Trieste, in collaboration with the EU MaX Centre of Excellence for Supercomputing Applications , the Quantum ESPRESSO Foundation, and the Eurotech and NVIDIA Corporations, is seeking a scientific software engineer able and willing to work on the port of the Quantum ESPRESSO suite of computer codes to accelerated heterogeneous architectures based on GPUs.
A two-year contract is being offered with wages proportionate to the successful candidate’s prior experience, including good-standard public health insurance. The successful candidate will work in a lively group based at SISSA with regular contacts with the NVIDIA Corporation, including a training internship at their headquarters in Santa Clara (CA), and frequent visits to the CINECA supercomputing centre in Bologna.
